It applies to users who send or receive value through Ping, businesses that integrate with Ping, and visitors to this website.

We collect information you provide directly, information generated by your use of the Service, and limited information from WhatsApp's platform.

• Account and identity data — name, phone number, and any identity or verification details required to open a Ping account.
• Transaction data — the amounts, timestamps, counterparties, and status of transfers, payments, and balances processed through Ping.
• Messaging metadata — the WhatsApp number you message us from, and message delivery status, so we can route replies and flows correctly.
• Device and usage data — general technical information such as browser type and pages visited, collected when you use this website.

03How we use information

We use the information above to operate the ledger at the core of Ping — that means posting and reconciling transactions, preventing fraud, resolving disputes, and keeping accurate records for regulatory and audit purposes.

• To process and confirm transactions you initiate.
• To verify your identity and protect your account from unauthorised use.
• To respond to support requests sent through WhatsApp, email, or this website.
• To meet legal, tax, and financial reporting obligations.
• To improve the reliability and clarity of the Service.

04WhatsApp and third-party processing

Ping's primary interface runs on WhatsApp Flows, which is operated by Meta. When you message Ping, WhatsApp processes the message in line with its own privacy policy, in addition to this one.

We also rely on third-party infrastructure providers — for example, hosting, identity verification, and payment settlement partners — to operate the Service. These providers only receive the information needed to perform their function and are bound by contractual confidentiality and security obligations.

05How information is shared

We do not sell personal information. We share information only in the following circumstances:

• With the other party to a transaction, to the extent necessary to complete it (for example, a recipient sees the sender's name and the amount sent).
• With service providers who process data on our behalf, under contract.
• With regulators, law enforcement, or courts where required by law.
• As part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with continued protection under an equivalent policy.

06Data retention

We retain transaction records for as long as required by applicable financial recordkeeping and tax laws, which is typically longer than the period we retain other account information. We retain other personal data only for as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy, or as required by law.

We use technical and organisational safeguards — including encryption in transit, access controls, and continuous monitoring of the ledger — designed to protect information against unauthorised access, alteration, or loss. No system is completely secure, and we encourage you to keep your device and WhatsApp account secure on your end as well.

08Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, or to object to certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below — we may need to verify your identity, and some information (such as completed transaction records) may need to be retained for legal reasons even after a deletion request.

09Children's privacy

The Service is not directed at children and is not intended for use by anyone below the minimum age required to hold a transactional account in their jurisdiction. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

We may update this policy as the Service evolves or as legal requirements change. If we make material changes, we'll notify you through the Service or by another reasonable means before the changes take effect.
